For the third consecutive season and the seventh time in his managerial career, Bobby Cox was named (NL) Manager of the Year by The Sporting News. Bobby Cox received 7.5 out of 16 first-place votes among the NL's managers after leading the Braves to their unprecedented 13th straight division title and earning his 2000th career win as a manager just before season's end. TSN announced its award winners Tuesday, including one Player of the Year and a Manager, Pitcher, Reliever, Rookie, and Comeback Player of the year in each league. The award winners are:
