Furcal hit .390/.449/.590 with 4 homers to pull his numbers back up to close to normal numbers for him after a season-long slump.

Pitcher of the month: John Smoltz
Maybe we should rename the pitcher award to the John Smoltz award. He was 4-0 with a 2.45 ERA in 44 innings; giving up 37 hits, walking 9, and striking out 29. He had a WHIP of 1.05.
