According to ESPN,
it's all but official: John Smoltz will be the Braves' opening day starter, and he will be followed in the rotation by Tim Hudson, Mike Hampton, John Thomson, and Horacio Ramirez. Three years and 144 saves later, it's good to see John Smoltz getting the love he deserves, as he's always gotten.
The Braves play their first spring training game Wednesday against Georgia Tech.
