Andruw Jones went 1-1 with a 2 run homer (off Kenny Rogers--more bad memories for Kenny along with Andruw's walk-off walk in Game 6 of the 1999 NLCS), walked and scored another run to account for 3 of the NL's 5 runs in the 7-5 AL victory.
Jones also hit 5 homers in the 1st round of the Home Run Derby, including one that hit a "Hit it Here" target. Bobby Abreu won the HR Derby, with an astounding 41 homers.
John Smoltz pitched the 2nd inning of the All-Star Game, and gave up a solo homer to Miguel Tejada to pick up the loss in the All-Star Game. Smoltz pitched an inning, giving up 2 hits and the run.
