Brief series recap:
The Braves took the first game of the series 6-1, behind 2 homers by Andruw Jones and a solo homer by Chipper in his first AB back from the DL. (Roman Colon was sent down to make room for Chipper.)
The Giants took the 2nd game of the series 5-4, scoring 4 runs in the last 3 innings after figuring out Braves starter Horacio Ramirez, then got an unearned run in the bottom of the 9th to win.
The Braves took the last game of the series 4-1, behind 8 dominant innings by John Smoltz and a 3-3 day by Jeff Francoeur, who also homered.
The Braves are now just a half game behind a slumping Washington team.
After an off-day today, Tim Hudson will start tomorrow in Arizona against Claudio Vargas. Mike Hampton is questionable for Saturday's start after straining his back getting out of a hot tub.
