Foxsports.com reports that the Braves have signed former Giants reliever Jim Brower after he cleared waivers. The Braves will only be responsible for the pro-rated portion of the minimum salary. Brower was 2-1 with a 6.53 ERA through 30.1 innings pitched in 2005. In 2004, he was the primary setup man for the Giants, going 7-7 with a 3.29 ERA, allowing 90 hits, 6 HR, 36 walks, and 63 strikeouts. The plan is obviously Leo getting him back on track to his 2004 numbers, which look decent.
