Spring Training Record: 9-5
Tim Hudson will miss his
next scheduled Spring Training start because of stiffness in his lower right back. Jeff Porter, the Braves head trainer, says that it is unrelated to the problems that hindered him in Oakland last year (commenting that this is the other side of his back). Bobby Cox said that if this were the regular season opener and if Hudson were pitching, that he wouldn't miss his start. It's a precautionary measure.
Macay McBride and Luis Hernandez were the 2nd round of cuts.
Adam Bernero and Buddy Hernandez have emerged as the leaders for the last spot in the bullpen.
