Finally! After tearing up the International League for 2 months while 2 corner outfielders who will remain unnamed embarrassed themselves for the big league team, Kelly Johnson has been promoted and is in the starting lineup -- and batting third. Ryan Langerhans is in the lineup in right field, too.
Johnson led the IL in OBP and was tied for the team lead in homers with Andy Marte.
To make room for Johnson, Matt Childers was DFA'ed. That's not the pitcher I would have gotten rid of, but that's not a big deal because he wasn't any good. 11 man pitching staff and another solid bat in the order makes my day.
