John Thomson has a partially torn flexor tendon. It won't require surgery, but Thomson won't be able to pick up a baseball for about a month, and it will probably take him another month to get ready.
Kyle Davies will start Saturday, filling in for Mike Hampton who will be pushed back to next Tuesday. Davies looks to be in the major league rotation indefinitely, now.
Davies, the Braves' top pitching prospect, has been 2-1 with a 4.78 ERA for Richmond.
Thomson expected to miss 2-3 months
