Bob Schaeffer: former bench coach of the Royals. Hired as a special assistant to Schuerholz.
Rene Francisco:
"Francisco rejoins the Braves organization after three seasons as director of international scouting with the Los Angeles Dodgers. He spent 10 years with Atlanta, most recently as a coordinator of Latin scouting." He's now director of international scouting for the Braves.
Tom Shields:
"Shields had been an area scouting supervisor and infield instructor for the St. Louis Cardinals since 1999." Hired as assistant field coordinator.
J.J Picollo:
"The Braves also promoted J.J. Picollo from assistant director of player development to director of minor league operations. "
I don't really know what these moves are about, but the Braves know what they're doing.
