Will someone explain to me why Bobby refuses to use Blaine Boyer as an 8th inning set-up man?
Blaine Boyer has a 1.76 ERA. An 0.98 WHIP. An 8.22 K/9 ratio. But he's a rookie.
These are the guys Bobby's been using in the 8th:
Chris Reitsma: 4.06 ERA, 1.23 WHIP, 5.37 K/9 ratio.
Dan Kolb: 4.82 ERA, 1.72 WHIP, 5.82 K/9 ratio.
Proven Veterans, There.
Boyer is
clearlythe best pitcher of those listed. This has to not only be infuriating to Braves fans, but probably to Boyer as well.
C'mon Mr. Cox, you know better than to do this. A division title is at stake!
