Chipper and Andruw each homered to lead the Braves to a big win. John Thomson started, and continues to improve. He battled through 5 innings, giving up a run on 4 hits, a walk, and 3 strikeouts. Davies pitched 2 scoreless innings, although he got into 2 jams, the latter one getting bailed out by a Francoeur assist. Boyer (2-1) actually pitched the 8th and gave up a run, the first run he's given up in 16 innings. Farnsworth blew them away in the 9th for the save. Andruw homered in the 4th of a 1-1 game t0 make it 2-1. After the Mets tied it in the top of the 8th, Chipper hit a 2 run homer to give the Braves a 4-2 lead they would not relinquish. Offensive contributors: Chipper was 2-4 with his 16th homer, a double, 3 RBIs, and scored. Andruw was 1-3 with his 45th homer and walked. Jeff Francoeur was 2-4 with a double.
