Adam LaRoche had a sensational game while Chuck James had another strong start as the Braves won again.
LaRoche was 4-4 with 3 doubles and a triple. The triple scored 2 runners and broke a 2-2 tie to give the Braves the lead for good.
James (7-3, 4.02) continues to make himself a mainstay in the rotation, going 7 innings and allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks, and struck out 5.
Paronto pitched the 8th and was benefited by an Andruw Jones highlight reel catch, taking away a 2 run homer.
Wickman pitched the 9th, and although he gave up his first earned run on a leadoff homer, had no further trouble and picked up the save.
The Braves send Smoltz to the mound as they go for the sweep tonight and a 5th win in a row. Matt Morris will be on the hill for San Francisco.
