The Braves couldn't do much today and dropped the series.
Jason Sheill (0-2, 7.00) went 5 innings and gave up 3 runs on 6 hits, a homer, a walk, and struck out 2. Oscar Villarreal pitched 2 innings and gave up 3 runs (1 earned). Paronto, Sosa, and Ray finished the game, although Sosa had to leave after one out because of an injury.
Scott Olsen shut down the offense. The only run the Braves scored was a Francoeur homer in the 7th against Randy Messenger.
Offensive contributors: Edgar Renteria was 1-3 with a walk. Jeff Francoeur was 1-4 with his 20th homer.
The Braves will now host the Mets. Horacio Ramirez goes against Pedro, who's coming off the DL.
