Another day, another loss. 3-16.
Cormier (2-2, 6.57) went 4 innings and allowed 4 runs on 7 hits, 3 walks, and 1 strikeout. Remlinger gave up a run in his inning. Stockman, McBride, and Yates all had scoreless innings. Ray was shaky in the 9th, but had a scoreless inning as well.
The Braves got single runs in the 4th, 5th, and 8th. They stranded lots of guys in scoring position, as usual.
Offensive contributors: Andruw Jones was 2-4, had an RBI, and scored. Edgar Renteria walked twice, one with the bases loaded for an RBI, and scored. Matt Diaz was 1-3 with a walk and scored. Marcus Giles was 1-4 with a walk.
Smoltz against Curt Schilling tomorrow.
