Stats for Players of Interest

on .

Here are some ST stats so far for those battling for a position on the team. There aren't many at-bats yet, but most of the players are getting off to a good start. These are stats as of Saturday, I think. Matt Diaz is 3 for 8 with a homer Ryan Langerhans is 3 for 9 with a walk Kelly Johnson is 2 for 7 with 2 walks James Jurries is 4 for 6 with 2 doubles, 2 walks, and has scored 5 times Dave Kelton is 2 for 4 Brian Jordan and Eddie Perez haven't batted yet. Almost all of the pitchers battling for a spot on the team have done well so far... In 3 innings of work, Joey Devine hasn't allowed any runs on 2 hits, a walk, and has struck out 5. Lance Cormier has allowed no runs on 1 hit and 2 Ks in 2 IP. Macay McBride has pitched 2 scoreless innings with 0 hits, 0 walks, 0 Ks. Wes Obermueller has pitched 2 scoreless innings, allowing 3 hits and has 1 K. Chad Paronto has pitched 2 scoreless innings, allowing 2 hits and 1 K. Brad Baker has pitched an inning and a third, allowing no runs on 2 hits, a walk, and no Ks. John Foster pitched an inning, giving up an unearned run on 2 hits, no BBs or Ks. Anthony Lerew pitched a scoreless inning and struck out a batter. Mike Remlinger had a rough outing, giving up 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk in two thirds of an inning. I'll post notable Spring Training stats probably weekly until the season starts.
