The Braves completed a 2 game sweep of first place Colorado and have won 3 games in a row. Andruw doubled in Chipper to tie the game in the 7th at 4. Marcus Giles doubled in Wilson Betemit in the bottom of the 8th to give the Braves the lead and the win in a seesaw game. Sosa went 6 innings, allowing 4 runs on 6 hits, a walk, and 3 strikeouts. He gave up 3 homers. Villarreal pitched a scoreless 7th. Remlinger and Cormier (2-1) combined for a scoreless 8th. Reitsma pitched a perfect 9th for his 6th save in 7 chances. The Braves got 3 consecutive 2 out RBI hits in the 3rd inning to take a 3-1 lead. Matt Holiday hit his first homer of the game in the 4th to make it 3-2. Cory Sullivan tripled to lead off the 6th and Clint Barmes sac flied to score him and tie it, then Holliday homered in the next at bat to give Colorado a 4-3 lead. The Braves then rallied in the 7th and 8th. Offensive contributors: Marcus Giles was 4-5 with a double, an RBI, and scored. Andruw Jones was 2-4 with a double, 2 RBIs, and scored. Edgar Renteria was 2-5 and extended his hitting streak to 18 games. Adam LaRoche was 1-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, and scored. Chipper Jones was 1-3 with a walk and scored. The Mets lost, and both us and Philadelphia won, so the lead is now 5 games. Now, the Braves go on the road yet again, this time to Philly and Smoltz will face Brett Myers.
