The Braves are finding more and more painful ways to lose games. This game was not well-played, but the Braves should have won until they self-destructed.
With a 6-2 Braves lead in the bottom of the 7th,
this happened:

Adam A. LaRoche at first
Kyle Davies pitching:

Paul Lo Duca: Strike looking, Lo Duca ground-rule doubled to left, Reyes to third.
Macay McBride relieved Kyle Davies.
Carlos Beltran: Ball, Beltran safe at first on 2nd baseman Giles' fielding error, Reyes scored, Lo Duca to third.
Carlos Delgado: Delgado singled to right, Lo Duca scored, Beltran to second.
Kenny Ray relieved Macay McBride.

End of Inning (4 Runs, 5 Hits, 1 Error)
The score stayed the same, and Remlinger got out of another miraculous jam in the 9th.
The game went to extras, and then this happened:

End of Inning (1 Run, 1 Hit, 0 Errors)
Reitsma blew his 2nd save.
In the bottom of the 14th, Beltran drew a one out walk off of Sosa (0-5), in to pitch because the Braves were out of relievers. He went to 2nd on a passed ball, then Wright knocked him in for the game-winner.
Tonight, the Braves gave up 16 hits, 13 walks, and struck out 5. I felt sick for most of the game, as did most other Braves fans probably did.
Davies pitched 6 plus innings before running out of gas in the 7th. You can see what happened above when that happened. He allowed 9 hits, 4 walks, and struck out 2. McBride pitched to 2 batters and allowed a hit and Renteria booted a grounder. Ray allowed 2 hits and a walk before getting a double play to get out of it.
Villarreal started the 8th and allowed a leadoff triple and a walk, getting one out. Remlinger somehow got out of it with no damage.
Peter Moylan somehow was the best pitcher tonight for the Braves, going 1.2 innings allowing no hits, a walk, and struck out 3.
Reitsma pitched 2 innings and gave up a run. Sosa pitched the last 1.2 innings and gave up the losing run.
Offensive contributors: Marcus Giles was 3-7, doubled twice, and scored twice. Brian Jordan, getting a start at 1st, was 2-4, doubled, and scored twice. Wilson Betemit hit a pinch-hit homer. Chipper Jones was 2-6, walked, had an RBI, and scored. Andruw Jones was 2-6, walked, and had an RBI. Brian McCann was 2-6, had 2 RBIs, and scored. Jeff Francoeur was 2-7 with an RBI. Edgar Renteria was 1-5, walked, and extended his hitting streak to 21 games.
I don't want to talk about the standings right now.
Tim Hudson faces Victor Zambrano tomorrow, and we'll probably see what else can possibly go wrong.
