They arenít expected to offer him more than the $8 million that his friend, golf partner and ex-teammate John Smoltz will make in 2007, and Glavine almost certainly wonít get a no-trade clause from the Braves _ Schuerholz never has given them to other players, be they stars or journeymen. The Mets gave him a blanket no-trade clause before, and would give him one again.Glavine has said that he won't sign unless he gets a no-trade clause. He won't get one from the Braves, who wouldn't even give one to A-Rod before he signed with the Rangers.
