The Braves acquired
Daryle Ward from Washington in exchange for single A pitcher Luis Atiliano. Atiliano just had Tommy John surgery. Ward is slated to be a frequent pinch-hitter for the Braves. Do we really need to be trading pitching prospects, even injured ones, for bench players at this point?
Kyle Davies, Anthony Lerew, Willy Aybar, Scott Thorman, Brayan Pena, Joey Devine, and Brian Jordan have been either called up or activated from the DL as the roster has expanded.
