Hudson Tacks on Another Win

on .

Yet again, Hudson looked like the A's Hudson we all know and love.† He went seven innings and gave up 6 hits, 1 earned run, 4 walks and had 4 strikeouts.† Hudson's season ERA of 0.86 tells the story:† Hudson is once again a dominant starter! Yates also looked fantastic today, striking out all three batters he faced in the eighth inning.† Moylan, fresh up from the farm, didn't look as great.† Coming in for the first 1/3rd of the†ninth inning, Moylan walked one, gave up three hits and three earned runs.† Wickman took over for the remainder of the ninth and had†a strikeout. Chipper and Andruw each had their third homerun today, Chipper tallying 3 RBIs and Andruw 2.† Other big hitters today were McCann and Diaz, neither of which should come as a surprise anymore.† Hudson also had a nice hit, just moments after the announcers discussed†the nice batting average he totaled up while playing at†Auburn in college.† KJ and Chipper each walked twice today and Andruw, Hudson†and Francouer each walked once.† That brings the Frenchy Walk Total to three for the season.† I have to say, I really do think his plate discipline has improved from what I've seen so far. Final Score:† Braves 8, Fish 4 After today, the Braves improve to 8-3 for the season.† And for those who haven't been paying attention, the Braves have yet to lose more than one game in a series.† They remain 1 game ahead of the Mets, 2 games ahead of the Marlins, 5 games ahead of the Phillies and 5 1/2 games ahead of the Nationals.† I have to say, I like what I see! Tomorrow the Braves start a 2-day series against the Nats in D.C.† Then they're back to Atlanta for a 2-game series against the Cubs, and then off to New York to play the Mets for 3 this weekend.†
