Dave O'Brien had some good news in his most recent blog. O'Brien talked to Mike Hampton, who is with the club right now and has started throwing again following his surgery. O'Brien says that he is throwing from 45 feet right now and the plan is to have the left-hander throw every other day for a month while working up to 60 feet next week, 90, and then 120 feet. Then he will begin throwing off a mound in September and get into some instructional league games in October before pitching in winter ball. Good to here he is one the path back. Even if he can be a fourth starter next year that should be a big boost.
