- Alex has been selected as the newest member of the Chop-n-Change writing staff. We're very excited to bring his talents on board and hopefully he'll be up and running within the next week or so. Congratulations Alex!
- Talking Chop has an interesting look at the Braves' payroll for next year. Most sources have the payroll sitting at right around $90 million or a bit above, however by his calculations, Frank Wren still may have quite a bit of cash to play around with.
- Ron Mahay inked a two-year pact worth $8 million with the Royals. Since Atlanta offered him arbitration, the Braves will receive a sandwich pick in compensation.
- This is a bit old, but Willie Harris signed a one-year deal with the Nationals. The backup outfielder joins Ryan Langerhans and Pete Orr, who are both playing for the Nationals. Is Washington trying to build a team based solely on ex-Reds and the Braves' refuse?
