According to Mark Bowman of Braves.com, Once the Mark Teixeira deal is finalized, GM John Schuerholz will turn his focus toward improving his pitching staff. If he's willing to part with Kyle Davies, there's a chance he could land Royals closer Octavio Dotel. With one NL scout saying the Braves are still in discussions with the White Sox, there's a chance Schuerholz could land Jon Garland or Javier Vazquez. Although Bronson Arroyo is on the radar, the Braves may not have the necessary pieces to add him to their rotation. There are also rumors that the Braves have talk the Twins starting picher Carlos Silva.(D'Andre Williams)
