John, Kristi, and myself have decided that it is time for Chop-n-Change to expand with another writer. We are committed to excellence and because of that, we'll be offering an open tryout to become the next writer on one of the internet's most visited Braves blogs. Anyone wishing to apply for the position will have to submit a short article (2-4 paragraphs) on the signing of Tom Glavine. Send the article in an e-mail to chopnchangeblog@gmail.com along with your name and the three of us will review all of the articles. The deadline for submission will be December 1st. These are the criteria we will be looking for when are reading the entries:

• The article must be interesting. This should be a pretty obvious one.
• Proper grammar! I can't tell you how many articles I've seen from bloggers, which are ruined by constant mistakes.
• Demonstrates a knowledge of the Braves. You have to know what you're writing about

If we do find another writer, that person would have to be able to write at least one article per week during the off-season and two to three during the regular season. If you cannot meet those minimums, then please refrain from applying. Also, we do this as a labor of love, so there is no salary involved (I know, I hate it too). I hope to see quite a few submissions and hopefully a couple of serious candidates to become the new writer here. Get busy writing!
