Update: Some new info from Dave O'Brien in his latest comment:
Huddy said in text to me, “Gonna see how it feels this week and make a decision.”
Dave O'Brien of the AJC is reporting that an MRI done on Tim Hudson's pitching elbow showed a tear in the ulnar collateral ligament. Hudson visited doctors on Monday and Tuesday, and both recommended a ligament replacement surgery known as "Tommy John Surgery". The veteran right-hander was in Birmingham today to visit Dr. James Andrews for yet another opinion. If the Braves' ace does go under the knife, he would miss the rest of 2008 and more than half of the 2009 season as the normal recovery time is about twelve months.
