- Eight is the magic number for Jair Jurrjens: after pitching 8 shutout innings last night, Jurrjens moved into first place among rookies with 8 wins on the season.
- After earning a save in Wednesday's game against Milwaukee, Mike Gonzalez extended his streak of converted saves to 32. This leads the Majors. In fact, he hasn't blown a save in four years (knock on wood, fast!), going strong since June 25, 2004.
- We all know the bullpen has been busy this year. Did you know their .226 opponents' batting average ranks third in the Majors?
- Rehab Alert: Mark Kotsay started a rehab stint at AA Mississippi on Tuesday and has since gone 4 for 15 (.267). It looks like he'll return to Atlanta for the Phillies series next week. Joining Kotsay at Mississippi is Martin Prado who is 0 for 7 so far.
- A win today will put the Braves playing .500 ball once again.
