You probably remember the first one. In fairness, he had a few mediocre starts against us in 2006 and 2007, a 4.74 ERA in 19 innings. So the domination hasn't been completely uninterrupted. But it looks like it's back. Thank God we're facing Dave Bush tonight. We'd better capitalize.Well, Ben Sheets beat the snot out of us again, 9 inning complete game, 7 strikeouts, allowed just 4 hits and one run. It seems like he kills us every time we face him. Is that true? Well... almost. He has a lifetime 4.39 ERA in 12 starts against us, albeit with a 9-3 record and 82 K against only 14 BB in 84 innings. And most of the runs he gave up were earlier in his career. From 2001 to 2003, he gave up 22 runs in 24 1/3 innings (4 starts) against us, good for an 8.14 ERA. Since then, in 8 starts, he's given up 19 runs in 59 2/3 innings (8 starts), good for a 2.87 ERA. Yesterday was the third complete game he's pitched against us, but the first since 2004.
