After going 2-4 today, Chipper Jones is batting .420. For his average to drop below .400, he would have to go 0 for his next 10 at-bats. Needless to say, Chipper doesn't go 0 for 10 very often; he hasn't gone 0 for 10 since August 29-September 1, 2007. He has played in 49 of the team's 53 games, and has had a hit in all but 6 of them.
Right now, he's got an 11-game hitting streak going, and he has alternated getting either 1 or 2 hits. In the first game of the streak and every odd game, he's gotten one hit; in the even games of the streak, he's gotten two hits. Let's see if he can keep that up tomorrow night against Edinson Volquez.
