Yes, he was fired by TBS for constantly getting things wrong, messing up details both little and big, and generally doing nothing well. He got the axe because he did it in the playoffs for two years running, but we've all heard him during the season, and he's not much different. However, Chip's not leaving Atlanta any time soon: he's replacing Boog Sciambi over at Fox Sports, and will remain a full-time Braves broadcaster. He certainly didn't get the new job by being good at his old one, but he still has a killer last name. I continue to hope that he'll get better with age, but he's done nothing to prove me right so far. For now, I'll have to keep watching the games on the radio.
