Erm, oh god no.
Ken Rosenthal is reporting that the Yankees are looking at acquiring Javier Vazquez from the Braves. Well, maybe if we get Swisher, it wouldn't be that bad. Oh wait, the reported return is supposedly Melky Cabrera, Mike Dunn, and a prospect.
My response? ARE YOU F'ING KIDDING ME?!?!?!?!?
Melky Cabrera?!?! When I think KILLER POWER BAT FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE ORDER, I don't think MELKY CABRERA. Melky Cabrera and his .115 ISO and .716 career OPS are not the HUGE BAT the Braves are looking for. Hell, the dude isn't even replacement level.
If Frank Wren does this deal, it would be a COMPLETE epic fail, and would guarantee that the Braves would be finishing no higher than 3rd in the division. This would be a disaster of epic proportions if all we could get for JAVIER VAZQUEZ, one of the best pitchers in the league, would be MELKY M'FING CABRERA and someone named MIKE DUNN.
Just kill me now.
UPDATE: The deal is done. This is a complete and utter disaster.
