Tonight marks the first time in 15 years the Braves have faced the Toronto Blue Jays. In case you aren't old enough to remember, the last game they played here was Game 6 of the 1992 World Series. They won the game and the title.
Enough lamenting about the past - on to the present! Old friends Bobby Cox and Cito Gaston will watch their teams matchup in interleague play tonight. Cox and the Braves are 20-20, while Gaston's team is leading the tough AL East with a 27-17 record. Kenshin Kawakami (2-5, 5.73 ERA) will face ace Roy Halladay (8-1, 2.78 ERA) in a 7:30 p.m. start.
Roster Moves and News: RHP Manny Acosta has been called up from Gwinnett (AAA) and RHP James Parr has been sent down. Chipper Jones is day-to-day after injuring his right foot in last night's game. It appears to be an issue with the bunions he had trouble with on his right foot in 2004-2005. Hopefully it won't require a six-week stint on the disabled list this time! Jorge Campillo made his second rehab start at Gwinnett last night. He came in as a reliever for three innings and gave up two runs on four hits. Also, for your first chance to see Tom Glavine pitch in a game this season, head on up to Gwinnett tomorrow evening. He'll be making a rehab start at Gwinnett tomorrow night against the Toledo Mud Hens at 7:00 p.m.
